CLICK ON THUMBNAIL PHOTOS ABOVE FOR CLOSE-UPS VoltPro Professional Series Landscape Light Transformers feature toroidal cores for professional results and commercial reliability.  There are 2 types of cores: stacked/laminated or toroidal.  Toroidal cores last longer, are more efficient and quieter than the more common laminated core transformers.  Toroidal cores cost more and are generally only available on higher end commercial transformers. This is a Magnetic Transformer not an Electronic Transformer.  Magnetic transformers are the only solution you should consider for outdoor lighting systems.  Electronic transformers are small and inexpensive but typically only last 4-6 years and can be noisy (think of the smaller, but less reliable transformers that are in ballasts and florescent lights-- those are electronic transformers).  Magnetic transformers on the other hand last 20+ years.  We use heavy weight, reliable magnetic cores.Premium components, windings, primary and secondary circuits.Professional grade low voltage outdoor lighting transformer. Stainless steel cabinet. Weather proof door enclosure, stainless steel mounting bracket, separate circuit breaker toggle switches for each 300w zone.Low voltage transformer designed specifically for outdoor lighting and landscape lighting professionals.Multi-Tap Transformer (12 volt all the way to 22 volts). Enables you to compensate for voltage drop -- even on extra long runs of over 250'!Ensures lights are all bright and even for professional results.Large ports enable 6+ cable home runs per each 300w circuit.  (e.g. 6 home runs on a 300w transformer, 12 runs on a 600w, 18 runs on a 900w, 24 runs on a 1200w transformer!)Timer and photocell ready ports (timer and photocell not included).Toroidal core--runs cooler, quieter, more efficient, lasts longer.Only draws as much electricity as needed to illuminate the bulbs you have -- e.g. a 1200w transformer will only draw 400w of power if you only have 400 watts of bulbs hooked to it.  The 1200w refers to the maximum wattage you can hook up to it.Built-in stainless steel mounting bracket.UL Listed, 10 year warranty. The transformer is made to last and is very heavy duty. Its abit bulky but is easy to mount. I mounted mine in my garage and went with their digital timer to turn on and off the light. The whole system works awesome together!

Comments about 12 Volt Pro Multi-Tap Transformers 300W, 600W, 900W, 1200W:

I was able to anchor this on a cemented wood board on the side of my house in very little time. I have no electrical experience and was up and running in a few hours (incl installation of 3 Infiniti TM35 lights, ~100ft of trenched cable and an exterior GFI outlet).
